What does this car say about you?

To be honest, I don't care what a car "says" about me. I buy a car to suit my families needs.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I have recommended the Picasso to any one who has asked me. As a result 2 neighbours and 1 friend have bought them.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would but, unfortunately, Citroen are no longer making this model.

What are you likely to buy next?

I really have no idea what car to buy next?! We will have our current car for 2 or 3 more years, so not an issue.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £8,995

When did you buy the car?

    July 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think we got a very good deal. We got 1k off the screen price and a very good trade in price on our old picasso.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We already owned a Picasso 1.6SX. We liked it so much we bought another one when it came time to change.

    What was the dealer like?

Very good. Gave us pretty much everything we asked for!

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

I love it, my wife not so much. She is 5ft tall and says it is too big. I, however, am 6ft tall and have no problem with it at all. The drivers seat has height adjustment as well as rake and recline. The steering column is also adjustable, although only tilt. It will cruise at 65mph on the motorway and still return 76mpg (yes 76mpg). Plenty of oomph from the diesel engine too, so it doesn't go backwards when it comes to a hill! Good around town too. Lovely clear instrumentation.

    What's it like to park?

I find it easy to park. It has, for me, very good all round visibility. Great big windows down the side and front and rear quarter glass make parking easy. However, the A pillar is rather wide and can cause an obstruction when looking to front left or right (it does not take long to get used to).

Have you had any problems with the car?

The indicator/light stalk went wrong. It was replaced under warranty without a problem.

What's most practical about your car?

For us it is its size. 5 full size seats and a massive boot. Take out the rear seats and you have a van. Fold the seats down and you have a ton of load space.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Without a doubt it has to be the cruise control! Wonderful gadget!!!
