What does this car say about you?

I buy what is practical and hopefully reliable. I buy what we need.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all love the car, especially my family as we are all tall (6ft +) so it is nice to have a car with plenty of leg and head room.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wouldn't buy another Citroen. I don't find the car fun to drive but she is practical so we will be keeping her for a couple of years while we save for something better. Unfortunately I have been spoilt, my last car was a Toyota Avensis and she was lovely.

What are you likely to buy next?

Hopefully a Peugeot or Toyota, but we will be looking for a wheelchair access car next time so it will depend what is about in our price range.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £900

When did you buy the car?

    December 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Would have prefeed to have paid less but I think we got the best deal we could. Was originally marked up at £995.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a tall car with enough space to carry my hubby's wheelchair.

    What was the dealer like?

Friendly, happy to leave us to look the car over.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Driven better. She is quite sluggish and has a habit of stalling if you don't keep fairly high revs, especially in reverse. Seems to use a lot of petrol for the size of engine but hoping that will even out now the pipe has been fixed. If you want something fast then believe me this is not for you. 0-60 in 20 minutes, lol.

    What's it like to park?

Not too bad, being high up gives great vision and the boot being fairly flat means it is easy to judge when reversing. No parking sensor but then again I have never had them so I don't miss them. Good all round vision.

Have you had any problems with the car?

We kept getting a petrol smell from the car but no-one could find any leaks. It was getting so strong the car was becoming undrivable. However, after a smoke test the problem was found in a pipe coming from the fuel tank that was hidden away in the bodywork (it looked melted?) so fingers crossed that has solved the problem.

What's most practical about your car?

The height, it makes it easier for my husband to transfer to and from his wheelchair. The seats are also a lot more comfortable than standard car seats for him.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

None really, quite like the display panel (space age, lol) though I miss having a rev counter.
