practical nice guy that can´t afford a bigger car...but cares about reliability and running costs!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Positive remarks on it´s well proportioned style and the "lounge" like interior.Very comfy
Would you buy this car again and why?
yes,there´s a humble feel good factor to it and for a runabout it´s more than adequate,but would definitely upgrade the engine to the 1.3 model. I don´t feel the need for something bolder,as I already have a smart roadster for fun and a motorcycle as well!
What are you likely to buy next?
something japanese and more spacious. once you have jap,you´ll never go back!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a fast replacement for my smart fortwo (wich was bought new in 2008 and after 3000miles started developing clutch problems),so I bought it because of legendary Daihatsu reliability and for being cheap. I already loved it for it´s design,really well balanced and proportioned!A truly rational buy nonetheless

helpful,until they forgot to send me the registration papers...

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Disapoints a bit...lot´s of body roll when cornering,even when changed from 13´s to 14 inch wheels.Not really that amazing... But if you don´t push it that hard,feels safe and stable.Gearbox feels notchy,but seems to be improving with time. Very decent on motorways,although the little engine struggles a bit on steep hills.The brakes could do with a bit more bite as well.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park,but to be honest,it wouldn´t hurt if the steering got to be a tad lighter...

Have you had any problems with the car?
so far nothing wrong with the car,and it´s proving to be much more reliable than my previous smart fortwo. the interior rattles a lot,especially from the flimsy door panels.
What's most practical about your car?
feels very spacious inside and it´s very easy to drive.Despite being a small car on the outside,it doesn´t suffer from it,has big doors and room for 5.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
power windows in the back,that´s something some bigger better cars sometimes don´t have!has a rather simple but functional interior and still manages to be quite stylish
