What does this car say about you?

Someone who likes a good car, despite the cars badge or Image - Cars are meant to be purchased with your heart not with your head!!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Some like it, some love it, some say its a boy racer, some say its old and outdated, some say it still looks nice considering it was the last model prior to it being discontinued.

Would you buy this car again and why?

If they made another Honda Prelude - YES.

What are you likely to buy next?

Havent thought past that yet - I enjoy driving what I currently have.

    No

    £850

When did you buy the car?

    December 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes - It was an ebay purchase that ironically no one else had an interest in purchasing. Placed the starting bid and won the car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It was the best car I could buy for an emergency buy.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Slightly heavy - but its nothing that can not be controlled. The car is long so it has a slight overhang at the front but the turning isnt that bad considering it has 4 wheeel steering. It takes some getting used to as the car feels as if it is "crabbing" in turns. Under 5500 rpm its like any other car. When in Vtec zone you get a slight kick in power, the noise changes and the car has more of at atmosphere to it. Driving normally on the road its fast but not fast compared to everything remotely "hot" on the road today, but on a track its blistering as you stay in the VTEC engaged zone for longer.

    What's it like to park?

Depends on where you park - I still struggle with reverse parking because the rear wheels turn. Parking in a bay and reversing out a bay is no problem.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Absolutely nothing - I drive alot and have put over 43000 miles on the car in just under 3 years. Besides the obligatory service parts, and tyres I have only changed the cambelt and waterpump and that was also at a service interval.

What's most practical about your car?

I didnt buy the car for practicality - however the car seems to have more room in the front than my old Golf VR6.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

A close ratio manual gearbox, 8200 rpm redline, Vtec engagement at 5500 rpm, and a light but precise clutch. The car also comes with cruise control and heated seats and aircon which is pretty good considering the car was made in 1999.
