Value
Superb value....when friends ask ""How much?"" they are amazed at my answer !
Costs
I think costs are in line with any vehicle of this nature. It isn't your average family hatchback so you should expect some increase in this area. that said, insurance group 12, returning over 30 mpg and under £20,000 to buy it's difficult to grumble.

On the road
Driving
For my first experience of driving a 4x4 I have found the Sorento excellent fun. There is the obvious body roll you find with any large off road vehicle. All in all the excellent driving position and commanding view of the road make for a fun time.
Performance
I love my Sorrento's performance. Having exchanged petrol ( my last vehicle) for diesel does offer a distinctly different driving experience. I actually prefer my new found experience. Huge reserves of torque are great fun !

Not really owned my vehicle long enough to pass judgement as yet. keep you posted !

In my opinion Kia can only go forward with the Sorento. Its an excellent vehicle and if people can forget their "Badge" snobbery we'll see a lot more on the road.
Comfort
Enough creature comforts to keep me occupied. Seats supportive over long journeys. One slight complaint. I find the seat adjustment knob can dig into my right leg if I'm not seated correctly.
