Clearly this is quite a big car and hence we all fit in it pretty well.

Summary

5 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
A bit of a traditionalist not likely to want a Prius as next car. Quite understated and doesn't have to try too hard.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it when they are in it. My neighbours probably think I am older than I am but at least I will grow into it eventually.

Would you buy this car again and why?
I can't imagine ever having anything else. It is just brilliantly comfortable and so easy to drive.

What are you likely to buy next?
Another Range Rover Vogue. Possibly with the 4.4 tdv8.

Buying experience

4 out of 5

Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised

Did you buy this car new?
Used

What price did you pay?
£48,000

When did you buy the car?
October 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?
Not especially but I think the price paid was fair. A year earlier and 11,000 miles ago the car had cost around £20,000 more.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
-

What was the dealer like?
Guy Salmon in Maidstone were really good which is more than can be said for a lot of other LR dealers I have come across.

Driving it

5 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Simply the most comfortable car I have ever had. Previously had 2009 X5. Not as dynamic as X5 but if you want dynamism buy a sports car. It is a big car but seems to shrink around you over time and is easy to place on the road.

What's it like to park?
Great reversing camera makes this quite easy but still won't fit into some spots.

Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?
A software glitch had the gearbox a little confused but was fixed under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?
Clearly this is quite a big car and hence we all fit in it pretty well.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated steering wheel is completely poncy but actually very nice on a cold winter morning.
