What does this car say about you?

    I have a family.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Who cares.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, never...in fact I'd avoid Nissan QG engines in whatever car they were in! Metal multi-row timing chains should NOT fail in 90k miles.

What are you likely to buy next?

It has already been replaced by an MG ZT.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Boring....It is slow, big and clumsy. Roadholding is fair and bodyroll minimal, but it is no joy to drive. The engine is underpowered and very low-tech with it refusing to rev much past 4000 rpm. It feels old and agricultural. The interior is OK, reasonably comfortable. with a decent view of the road. Shame they couldn't be bothered to make the windscreen wipers RHD, though.

    What's it like to park?

OK, the view is OK, but it is quite a chunky, wide car.

Have you had any problems with the car?

When we purchased it the wiper motor pegs were worn which stopped the wipers parking properly. I cured this with a s/h motor and it has fixed the issue. The centre seat fold release cable/handle has snapped..not viable to fix as it is too expensive and complex to dismantle. The heater mix valve cable became kinked and, as a result, the plastic knob broke. This means there was no way to control the temperature of the heater....not fixed. Unfortunatly, the car is now dead as it developed a serious misfire. There is no spark at all (now) and a replacement cam sensor did not solve the issue. A suspected stretched timing chain has been diagnosed which renders the car scrap @ circa 90K miles :(.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot space and the fully removeable rear seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

There isn't one...It doesn't really have any gadgets.
