• Summary

What does this car say about you?

I didn't buy it to save the planet, more to save money. As such I don't care what it says about me because I just laugh when I see others queuing at petrol stations.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone who has sat in it or been driven in it is absolutely bowled over by the superb interior, ride quality and performance.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes definitely. Future generation Leafs will have much better range. 100 miles or more on a charge is good enough for me at the moment, but when Nissan start producing the car with a 200 mile+ range it will appeal to many more.

What are you likely to buy next?

Leaf, Qashqai hybrid or the forthcoming Nissan Hydrogen powered vehicle.

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £14,950

When did you buy the car?

    March 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. A massive saving over new price and a car that only has 5,000 miles on the clock.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Fed up with fuel and tax costs.

    What was the dealer like?

Pretty hopeless. Knew nothing about the Leaf so was unable to answer any questions.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

This has to be the smoothest, quitest car I have ever driven. It is also incredibly nippy. To be honest, I think it's a lot faster than the official figures suggest.

    What's it like to park?

Easy. Colour reversing camera with proximity marker lines and indicator lines that move with the steering wheel to show where the car is going to go.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No

What's most practical about your car?

Good sized boot and plenty of room inside. Fantastically economical (£2.50 to fully charge, 100 miles on charge). It works out costing us virtually nothing during the summer because we use electricity generated from solar panels.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Sat Nav and Carwings app which allows you to pair car to a PC, laptop or tablet and start, end or monitor battery charge. it also allows you to start climate control remotely to get the car to the right temperature before driving. You can also plan and send routes to the sat nav from your device.
