What does this car say about you?

I think it says "bad at parking" because of all the dints and scuffs ... but maybe it says "get's on with the grunt" ... dunno.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like the high driving position.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would, but I doubt that I will now that the family dynamics have changed. We don't really need such a big car any more.

What are you likely to buy next?

Volvo C30 or a Japanese hybrid.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £14,999

When did you buy the car?

    July 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. Bought the car from Motorpoint in Derby. 20% below dealer price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Yes. To carry a family with 3 teenagers and to tow our caravan.

    What was the dealer like?

Professional and businesslike. There were no free cups of coffee or frills ... but for a 3 grand saving I was okay with that ...

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

A great ride. High and smooth. The gears are a little hard work. Reminds me of driving a delivery van sometimes. 1st gear is really for getting you going or when towing. Great once out on the open road. Had over 50MPG when taking it steady with no one else in the car.

    What's it like to park?

A bit tricky. Glad it's got that big bumper. Hit a few lamp posts I'm afraid. Seriously big blind spots at the back ... should have gone for parking sensors!

Have you had any problems with the car?

No. It had some work on the supercharger under warranty and during it's annual service so it wasn't an inconvenience. We have had none of the reported turbo failure problems ... thank God.

What's most practical about your car?

It is a work-horse. You don't even know there is a caravan on the back when towing. You can pack it full of kids and luggage until you can't see out of the back. Great for taking junk to the tip too.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I can control the windows from the front. The children have a sneaky habit of opening them when I am not looking.
