What does this car say about you?

It suggests that I am either old or disabled, which I don't think was Peugeot's intention.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

At first, everyone loves it, and take great pleasure in playing with the doors. After a while, however, everyone points out how silly it looks.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wouldn't. It has been fairly reliable in the 21k miles that I've driven it, but the negatives outweigh the positives. The doors (and especially the doors' safety chimes) are frustrating, and to be frank a little embarrassing, once the novelty has worn off.

What are you likely to buy next?

Unsure, perhaps something more suited to long distance driving.

    No

    £4,995

When did you buy the car?

    March 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

I feel like I slightly overpaid, as after purchase I noticed that independents had the same model for up to 1k less.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It appeared a quirky, fun car packed with features.

    What was the dealer like?

Reasonably pleasant, but first offered me a poor deal on my part exchange.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Pretty sluggish - has a habit of changing down a gear at the worst possible moment (such as when you've just pulled into a roundabout). The engine feels powerful enough but is hampered by the gearbox.

    What's it like to park?

    Fairly easy, visability is excellent.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Brake Lights stuck on after the master switch failed after a week - fixed under warranty. Both key-fobs failed within a week of each other, and even with prompt battery replacement have not worked since - currently unlock the car with the key only. Both keys fell apart in the ignition - have been cleverly sellotaped back together. Wheel bearing failed recently. Both track-rods failed recently. Radio picks and chooses what CDs it wants to play. Also keeps retuning itself to HeartFM for no apparent reason (perhaps its haunted?).

What's most practical about your car?

Space for the driver plus front passenger is exceptional.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    The climate control works brilliantly.
