Peugeot 206 1.1 LX 3d (2002/02) - Owner Review

The split folding seats, baggage neat and rear head rests all really help. So does the engines tiny fuel consumption.

Someone who knows how to buy a classy car with a budget

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My friend liked it so much, she went out and bought one within a month of my owning it.

Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Fantastic reliability and comfort along with classy french lines make it a winner

What are you likely to buy next?
Probably a Renault Mégane or a Peugeot 207.

Buying experience

4 out of 5

Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise

Did you buy this car new?
Used

What price did you pay?
£5,495

When did you buy the car?
October 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, deliberately came across as a shy buyer on the last day of the sale. Worked a treat.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Style, equipment levels and very comfortable interior

What was the dealer like?
Very eager to sell the car...leading to added bonuses for me!

Driving it

4 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
For a small engine it is pretty impressive, it'll leave a couple of people startled at traffic lights for a 1.1 litre! Quiet a bit of body roll would be my only complaint

What's it like to park?
Light steering and good visibilty make it great to park

Living with it

5 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
The only thing ever to go wrong was the stereo. Once in a blue moon it will decide not to send any sound to the speakers no matter how high the volume goes. Cures itself with a restart though.

What's most practical about your car?
The split folding seats, baggage neat and rear head rests all really help. So does the engines tiny fuel consumption.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Has to be the automatic wipers and lights. Go under a tunnel and your lights instantly illuminate. Wipers come on at the first drop of rain.
