I had a dream and the Allure crushed it. What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car? Liked the look of it but they'll never know how crap a drive it was. Would you buy this car again and why? Absolutely not. Might've considered getting the HDi version if the dealership had been open to negotiation, but they didn't give a toss about aftersales and moaned about overpaying me for my part exchange. What are you likely to buy next? Have actually ditched the car at a loss of £3600 and am now driving the 207 GT HDi (non cc) and it's a rocket. But after Peugeot's "couldn't care less" attitude I won't be buying Peugeot again. And that's quite a statement from someone who's loved Peugeots for 18+ years. Buying experience 3 out of 5 Type of dealer you bought from? Franchise Did you buy this car new? New What price did you pay? £16,600 When did you buy the car? June 2010 Did you get a good deal and why? Thought I did at the time, but in retrospect I didn't. Is there any special reason why you bought this car? Had always lusted after the 207cc and after deciding life's too short, threw caution to the wind (and my finances) and bought one. What was the dealer like? On the face of it she was fine, but again in retrospect she glossed the facts. Get an Insurance Quote We've gathered the biggest companies on the market in one place to save you money. GET QUOTE Insurance group: 16 Driving it 1 out of 5 What's it like to drive? Pants. Like driving a tank. The car had no life about it whatsoever. Zero overtaking power. Get used to being tailgated if you buy this. What's it like to park? Fine. Living with it 1 out of 5 Have you had any problems with the car? Nothing went wrong with the car per se, no actual defaults, but it was a thoroughly disappointing performer and a petrol guzzler. Thoroughly disappointed with not only the performance but the sound system too. Everything about it depressed me, and I was a cow the entire time I owned it (approx five weeks). What's most practical about your car? Can't complain about the boot space. Favourite gadget, option or accessory? Heated seats. USB connection. Oh, and not forgetting the folding roof.
