Other Renault Laguna (2001 - 2007) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Not sure. To be honest I don't really care. There are many outstanding cars in this class and of this age. But, if you value style, comfort and equipment (over image and the motoring press) then this is the car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They love it. Everyone who rides in it compliments the comfort and space. It looks quite sporty with the spoiler and 17'' low profile tyres - which differentiates it from a normal family hatchback.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely. It looks great, drives great, is practical and was outstanding value for money.

What are you likely to buy next?

    A higher spec Laguna.

    No

    £2,345

When did you buy the car?

    April 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yep. £2345 from an auction compared to £16,750 when new. Peanuts for the amount of kit you get.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

For the design, gadgets and the diesel engine.

    What was the dealer like?

    n/a

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent. Powerful but frugal engine and very comfortable ride - everyone comments on it.

    What's it like to park?

It's a big car and it feels even bigger when parking. But any car of this size is the same. If I had wanted an easy park I would have bought something small.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not so far. Renault problems seem to be over-emphasised for some reason. As long as a full service history is maintained and the timing belt and EGR valve are changed, when necessary, then it won't let you down.

What's most practical about your car?

On the road: Economy and ride comfort. Interior: Space, vanity lights and cubby holes with electrical sockets.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Many. Keycard entry and starting, tyre pressure monitors, six speed gearbox, and all electrics.
