What does this car say about you?

    I've got a familly.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Practical and not bad looking.

Would you buy this car again and why?

So far I think so. I done a lot of homework choosing the right one - I think this is essential in a car which is 8 years old. It's very very practical. It's quite economical, returning about 38 to the gallon in 'true' extra urban mode.

What are you likely to buy next?

Depends on which car needs replacing next, if it's this one then probably the newer scenic (but not the one between the 99 and 02 - I don't like the front).

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £2,100

When did you buy the car?

    February 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, in my opinion. T '99 with 70k, full service history, colour coded with all prev MOT's and receipts for work done. Screen price £2,299. Paid £2,100, garage agreed to cambelt and tensioners, full service, 2 tyres (part worn but with good life), 12 months MOT, 6 months tax. Had HPI done and was clear, even managed to speak to previous owner who gave a big OK!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Two young children, needed a family 'runner'.

    What was the dealer like?

Superb, centre silencer started blowing after a week - he replaced it without any quibble.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

OK, it's not a sportscar, but it's not too slugish. As you'd expect from the high driving position it doesn't corner fantastically well, but that's not what it's for. It's better to drive than I anticipated.

    What's it like to park?

No problem, for what seems really big on the inside it's not big on the outside, so no trouble at all.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only centre silencer which was replaced FOC.

What's most practical about your car?

The space and practibility. It's really easy to get the kids in and out of, and they love the elavated view in the back.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Air conditioning will be a big plus in the summer. Twin sunroofs also good. Hidden compartments in the rear footwells.
