Other Renault Twingo (2007 - 2014) models:

  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

To some, I imagine my car says that I couldn't afford a BMW MINI. To other drivers, I hope the car expresses my individuality.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends my age (21) all like the car very much, especially its paint colour. When I presented her with the car brochure, my step mother was unsure about the orange "Blaze" metallic but, when seen in person, the depth of the colour becomes clear.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definitely buy this car again. It represents excellent value for money and is certainly the best-looking car in its class - Easily beating the Citroen C2 in the design stakes.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have only owned this car for one month, so have not considered any future purchases.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    April 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

My vehicle was an ex-demonstrator model with very low and represented excellent value with lessened depreciation.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had previously owned two French left-hand drive Twingos and my family had kept a third, very spartan Twingo as a spare car. I sold my last French Twingo on the very same weekend that the all-new Twingo was launched in Britain but, at that point, waiting lists were incredibly long and so I opted for a Renault Modus. I regretted this and less than a year later, I purchased an all-new Twingo.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer in High Wycombe was particularly helpful and sealed the deal over the phone, before a friend and I drove the 100 mile journey to collect the car.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Very pleasant. My previous, supposedly more upmarket, Renault Modus is no match for the Twingo. There is some wind noise in the cabin, but this is to be expected on a car of this class.

    What's it like to park?

Incredibly easy, with excellent visibility all-round. The Twingo's squared-off shape makes parking a breeze.

Have you had any problems with the car?

At time of writing, the car is 8 months old and is all working perfectly.

What's most practical about your car?

The sliding, adjustable, individual rear seats allow for superb modularity.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The Twingo is full of clever ideas. My car has additional Renault-designed décals specific to the Twingo which personalises the car somewhat.
