Mum loves it, mates think I've aged 50 years but are proven wrong once inside it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, it's too heavy on fuel and the transponder failure really soured me to saab.

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Pulls well across the rev range, handles surprisingly well and the brakes are incredible.

    What's it like to park?

It's about 3 miles long so it can be hard to find sports where you don't hand over one or both ends.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Transponder refuses to sync half the time resulting in no-crank failures to start. It's a £300 part (plus fitting and recoding) and apparently a common fault.

What's most practical about your car?

Boot is simply enormous. Takes 4 suitcases, a duvet and other assorted supplies with room to spare. With the rear seats folded down it took a 3 seat sofa.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated front seats, mandatory in Scottish winters.
