SEAT Exeo ST 2.0 CR SE (143bhp) 5d (2009/59) - Owner Review

Probably just being an estate. It doesn't look that big as it's a stylish Audi A4 estate but there is more room inside than you would think.

Summary

5 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
Not sure! Hopefully a shrewd buyer! As I am spending 3 years and near 100k miles in it, I wanted as nice a car as possible, so hopefully shows intelligence!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They really like it - everyone says it's identical to the Audi and in black with the chrome outlines it's very similar! They're also really impressed with the interior which is taken from the A4 cabriolet - very plush indeed and much nicer than the Golf I would have had!

Would you buy this car again and why?
Certainly if I needed another company car - I'd probably try and get a black Sport but the ride wouldn't be as comfortable as this SE model. At the end of the day it's a £28k Audi for under £21k!

What are you likely to buy next?
Company car wise it would be so hard to say - hence probably another one of these. It's so comfortable, quiet and refined that it does all you need and in style.

Buying experience

5 out of 5

Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise

Did you buy this car new?
New

What price did you pay?
£21,000

When did you buy the car?
December 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?
From a company car point of view - yes. Seat are offering cheap introductory prices to get these cars out on the road so the SE came in under the price of a new Golf estaete which it wouldn't normally.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It's a company car and I was being given the new Golf estate but wanted something different.

What was the dealer like?
I only dealt with the dealer when picking up the car but on that occasion, they were very helpful and a high level of service.

Driving it

4 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Good. The handlings not as sharp as a Mondeo but it is the SE (comfort) model which is better suited for motorway miles. The engine is now loosening up and is very quick in the mid range and extremely muted - this is because it has VW's latest common rail diesel engine.

What's it like to park?
Very easy - it comes with rear and side parking sensors as standard so it's a doddle!

Living with it

5 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
No not yet - it's done 2k miles but with VW mechanicals it hopefully wont fail once!

What's most practical about your car?
Probably just being an estate. It doesn't look that big as it's a stylish Audi A4 estate but there is more room inside than you would think.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
A tough one! It's a tough call between built in handsfree and the iPod aux socket and cradle found in the glovebox!
