Road manners and handling remain predictable even when the car is pushed. The electric power steering is nicely weighted affording good feedback in all road conditions. The brakes are similarly reassuring being powerful and progressive. While in SDI guise the Fabia is not going to win many races, 60mpg is not difficult to achieve. What's it like to park? The Fabia has proved one-hundred percent reliable albeit the bushes on the front suspension arms have been replaced with heavy duty nylon.
