• Summary

What does this car say about you?

    Sensible family motoring plus dog!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most of them like the space inside - both for passengers and in the boot. Easy for some of our slightly older passengers to get in and out! The slightly oddball looks divide opinion.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably not: nothing against Skoda or this model, but as the family grows we might need something with a bit more head leg and luggage room.,.

What are you likely to buy next?

Something with a bit more space. Crossover perhaps: Yeti, ix35, Qashqai, Sportage.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £9,000

When did you buy the car?

    June 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was less than one year old and with only a few thousand miles on the clock. Got parking sensors and roof bars thrown and a decent trade-in for my slightly unreliable Scenic.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something with space inside for family of four plus dog (or luggage) but nothing too big or expensive to run as we only do low mileage mainly in towns.

    What was the dealer like?

    Generally helpful.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Nippy in town. Quite comfortable on the motorway - even when fully laden (plus roof box). Good driving position.

    What's it like to park?

Small and easy to manoeuvre. Rear sensors and the fact that the back of the car doesnt' slope that much help.

Have you had any problems with the car?

After the car hit 5 years old, one of the steering column controls went. Also intermittent problems with electric windows starting to develop.

What's most practical about your car?

Small on the outside, big on the inside.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Not sure how I managed without parking sensors before!
