• Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

A bit dull and rather too sensible.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Looks too much like the Corolla that it replaced

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. My experience with Toyota dealers has been brilliant but unfortunately the car lets them down. The cabin plastics are very low rent, the seats lack decent support (suffer from numb bum on long journeys) and the audio system sound quality is terrible.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Skoda Octavia vRS

    March 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. At the time this model was selling at £13k plus.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My first Toyota purchase. Thought I would give them a go as they had a good reputation for reliability etc.

    What was the dealer like?

    Very good

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

A bit bland and stodgy. Engine is very agricultural when cold but quite refined when warmed up, especially on the motorway.

    What's it like to park?

Easy - even without parking sensors.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Problems with brakes squealing, mostly the rear ones. This has not been an issue since pads replaced. Clutch master cylinder replaced under warranty as clutch pedal was creaking.

What's most practical about your car?

Keyless entry & start/stop is great. Auto headlights & wipers are also a nice touch.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Keyless entry & start/stop.
