I am not bothered by what it will say about me, all i will say is i feel let down by this avensis!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
they find it attractive, spacious etc
Would you buy this car again and why?
NO.I have for a long time had toyota's or a honda. But i am very dissapointed with this model i feel let down.
What are you likely to buy next?
honda accord! as jap reliability is a must!!!! i will consider a toyota again for sure but not so soon

It was expensive but having done less than 50k company miles i felt it was worth it.

What's it like to drive?
good on motorway or on a straight strech but its very poor on country roads, and bends, suspension not that brilliant.
What's it like to park?
ok, but not easy rear headrests are a distraction etc

Have you had any problems with the car?
where do i start? right hand side Headlight unit aluminium base melted away, dealer would not replace it i had to buy the headlight from breakers for £90. The key struggles to slot into the ignition barrel and then gets stuck upon retreiving it. the keypad does not work have replaced batteries on both pads yet fail to work, having to lock it manually. engine maintanence light comes on, had it on diagnostics. Mechanic cannot pinpoint the fault though engine has lost it full power while driving it. clutch feels a suspect too, its a common problem on these with flywheel. and i am dreading for anymore faults that too at only approx 65K miles
What's most practical about your car?
it offers good MPG and has huge boot to fit everything.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
a little touch of the button an close your wing mirrors inwards in tricky places like supermarket car parks an just drive without breaking ur mirrors etc.
