no wow factor, until they are a passenger
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, a car crashed hard into the drivers side, I was fine (I rekon this is the safest/toughest car in its class). I am going out this weekend to buy the 2.2 diesel avensis instead.
What are you likely to buy next?
As mentioned, I am buying the 2.2 diesel avensis. Has a 6 speed box and a cam chain too. Lower on insurance and just as quick as the petrol.

Not too bad i suppose, they replaced all the brakes.

cam chain instead of belt

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
built to last, not for power. Great for motorway miles, and quite economical if driven steady (have managed 48.7 mpg average)on motorway
What's it like to park?
rear bumper corners are a sod to judge at first. easy enough after a while.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
If you press hard on the brakes the pedal sinks. This is normal on the avensis but nobody seemed to know this at the time.
What's most practical about your car?
Lots of space and comfort
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
shopping bag hooks in the boot (sounds sad but I used them a lot to stop shopping floating about in the boot)
