    I've got a new car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They are very interested and want to know if it lives up to all the claims made about it and reliability.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes although hopefully, when it s time to replace this car, things will have moved on a lot.

What are you likely to buy next?

Who knows what will be available. Am hoping this lasts for a good few years.

    November 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Only scrappage deal. There was a long waiting list for the new Prius so discounts were not available.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very smooth. The CVT delivers constant power across the whole range. Even at motorway speeds. There are no gear changes or dead spots. It is very quiet too. The TRAC+VSC is great in the snow and ice. Handling is good for the size of car. The PWR button reminds me of KIT's turbo button.

    What's it like to park?

One of the weak points. You can't see the front of the car and the view out the back isn't great so parking on the side mirrors is a skill you need to develop. Or get the Tspirit with all the parking gadgets you could dream of.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Portable cool box blew fuse on 12v power socket. Dealer rewired socket under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?

High mpg (yes it is true). No tax. Reasonable service cost. Stress free driving (really!). Loads of room for passengers and luggage.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The car is a gadget. :)
