Bought private in July 2005 at £1150 with 93,000 miles on clock

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Well I never liked these until I actually saw it I bought the estate when I was 18 years old cuz I thought my mum wanted to set up a painting and decorating business so I thought instead of having a car and van I thought that was a bit pointless so I looked for an estate near by. I saw within a few days (back in July 2005) a few doors aways from me and it was a green Astra 1.6 Merit but it wasn't that good but I still wanted it for some reason the bloke wanted £1,600 for it so I put in an offer of £1,400 but he wouldn't take it he wanted £1500 for it which I thought was too much. So I gave up on that one and started searching again until I found a maroon red one which looked quite good in the photos and only 20 miles from where I lived and it was advertised at £1250 which I thought was a g

What's it like to drive?

It is a bit heavy to drive but if you add some good decent alloys on it not Vauxhall ones but other makes like for example Team Dynamics with low profile tyres it should improve handling

What's it like to park?

A bit difficult reversing to park the car as you think it's bigger than what it is and your miles out at the back.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Clutch cable but didn't cost much too repair about £25.

What's most practical about your car?

Equipment level is quite good and a good performer

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Nice luxury interior in which is better as the LS only get stripy interior and doesn't feel luxury. Also having e/windows remote central locking and e/mirrors
