Other Vauxhall Vectra (2005 - 2008) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

I don't think it says anything about me...but people seem surprised that it is driven by a five foot nothing girl.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it - it's a very comfy (and not embarrassing)car to be driven around in (and from a "girly" point of view, the pearlescent paint is "very attractive").

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I'm very happy with it so far. It has a few extras on it which give it the spec I wanted, at a price much lower than I was expecting to pay.

What are you likely to buy next?

Will probably px it for an Insignia when they come on to the second hand market.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    June 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think it was a good price, got it for below Parker's guide price anyway.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My old car failed it's MOT spectacularly and I only had a fortnight to find a new one.

    What was the dealer like?

Straightforward and pretty helpful. Sorted what they said they would before I picked it up.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very easy to drive, decent road holding and corners surprisingly well.

    What's it like to park?

The size of it makes it a bit of a pain in car parks with small parking bays.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not yet, and it feels well built.

What's most practical about your car?

It's a lot of car for the money, in fact it's huge. I was originally looking at smaller family cars but would have had to pay two or three thousand pounds more for the same spec I got on the Vectra.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Comfy seats aren't really an accessory are they?
