Used, I don't think anything comes close for the money.

Drinks fuel, but normal servicing costs.

May not handle like a BMW, but noise/torque/gearbox a joy.

Fast! Noise is worth the price alone.

Never let me down. oOnly fault has been coilpack recall.

Those in the know are impressed, those you don't want to know (thieves etc) think it's a boring saloon. Perfect Q car.

Bit cramped in the back, but generally fine. Find one with Leather Recaros for true value for money.

VW dealers are a pain. They get the job done but they are expensive and unhelpful... but then who isn't these days?
