Value
Lots of very nice features not found on similar cars. Hold their value well, so seem to make sense.
Costs
Very economical, even when driven enthusiastically. Insurance very good too.

Driving
Not really for an enthusiastic driver, but can be fun. The ride is excellent and refined for such a small car.
Performance
Given that it's a 1.4 the performance isn't so bad. If driven harder then can go at a reasonable pace and can equally cruise along at lower revs.

Mechanically, has been without a hitch so far, but the electrics aren't quite as good.

Excellent, good looking car and people still ask if it's brand new.
Comfort
Very comfortable all round. The ride and refinement are top notch and the overall quality of the interior is excellent. This model has a shaped rear bench too, so rear passengers also have comfort. Leg room isn't the best, but it is a small car.

Central locking is about it, as standard.
Service
Service really should be better from VW. I haven't been in the situation of a serious problem, but the dealers should be trying harder. They often come across rude and are expensive.
