What does this car say about you?
Smart "fun" car at a small price when compared with BMW, Audi or Mercedes convertibles. However proven very durable, reliable, economic and "useable".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Secure Volvo attributes with fun characteristics. Generally jealous!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably will keep car for as long as reliable, and unlikely to source another in this condition & execution as thic car was one of the last made. New model C70 has miniscule rear seats and tiny boot space.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably another Volvo, a marque I have been faithful to for 30 years, never problems, always "boringly" reliable and with great personal security.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I paid a top price for a top condition car with only 38k miles.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Almost purchased one new in 2005, but "sensible head" opted for a V70. Always hankered for the option of open air motoring, so I bought the C70 as a "toy" to compliment my XC90.
What was the dealer like?
Firm but fair.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nimble, responsive, creaks a little on bumpy road but fitting a Volvo strut brace has all but cured that. Smooth power delivery & good acceleration on kickdown.
What's it like to park?
Somewhat restricted vision at rear with roof up, but never a big problem. With the high boot line not significantly better with roof down!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Occasional starting problem cured by replacing fuel pump relay. Replaced front discs and pads to be safe. Full size spare fitted and space saver rejected.
What's most practical about your car?
Reliability, ease to keep clean and ALL functions work 100%.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Automatic roof lifting converts car from a very practical coupe to a full 4x seater convertible.
