Summary***--

  • Trick electric doors; fun
  • Slow; expensive new

The 1007's big party piece is obviously its electrically operated doors. Opening within the length of the car and barely wider than the wing mirrors they make it possible to easily enter the front or rear seats even when parked in the tightest of spots. It also looks very funky and the 'Cameleo' interior trim system allows owners to change the interior colour scheme by replacing 17 bits of trim throughout the interior including front and rear seat inserts. You can either colour code (if you can be bothered), refresh the interior before selling or more likely replace a dirty or tatty trim after a few months of ferrying children about. Although expensive as a new buy, 1007 is proving to be much better value on the used market, with temptingly low prices.
