Peugeot 107 (05 on) - Review Review by David Ross on 07 January 2009 Last Updated: 20 September 2011 The 107 is the sister car to the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo - a simple to drive and cheap to run small car, that's ideal if you spend most of your time driving in busy built-up areas. Unlike the C1 (which was available with a diesel) the 107 has only ever been available with one engine - the same three-cylinder 1.0-litre unit that's shared by all three cars. It's an eager unit that's happy to be revved hard which, combined with the sharp handling and impressive body control, makes the Peugeot good fun to drive. It's available as either a three-door or five-door - and although the interior is a little basic - it's comfortable with a surprising amount of rear room for such a small car. In 2009 it was facelifted with a new front end and upgraded interior while the engine was tweaked for even better efficiency. 4 out of 5 Other Peugeot reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 3.5 out of 5 Kia Picanto (04-11) Cracking value, economical engines, five-doors as standard, cheap to run, reliable Not as clever with space as other small cars, mediocre safety rating Read full review 4 out of 5 Hyundai i10 Hatchback (08 on) Cheap to run, peppy engines, enjoyable to drive, decent equipment levels, practical and robust interior Automatic version underpowered, steering feels rubbery, ride on the firm side Read full review 3 out of 5 Suzuki Alto (09 on) Cheap to buy, cost-effective to own, robustly built Lacks charm, boot isn't particularly practical, not Euro NCAP crash tested Read full review Find other hatchback cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
