Peugeot 107 (05 on) - Review Review by David Ross on 07 January 2009 Last Updated: 20 September 2011 The 107 is the sister car to the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo - a simple to drive and cheap to run small car, that's ideal if you spend most of your time driving in busy built-up areas. Unlike the C1 (which was available with a diesel) the 107 has only ever been available with one engine - the same three-cylinder 1.0-litre unit that's shared by all three cars. It's an eager unit that's happy to be revved hard which, combined with the sharp handling and impressive body control, makes the Peugeot good fun to drive. It's available as either a three-door or five-door - and although the interior is a little basic - it's comfortable with a surprising amount of rear room for such a small car. In November 2006 this was joined by the Urban Lite, and in January 2007 by the Sport XS. The Urban Lite is focussed on providing economy and value-for-money but still comes fairly well equipped with electric power steering, driver and passenger airbags, a CD stereo, ABS and stability control. The Urban is the better choice and comes with remote central door locking, electric windows, 50/50 split folding rear seats with Isofix mountings, body-coloured door mirrors and door handles, side-rubbing strips and a rigid removable rear parcel self. The Sport XS is more distinctive thanks to coloured (depending on the body colour) stripes, alloy wheels and red treatment to the interior.
