Overview

Peugeot aimed to recreate the visual impact of the stylish 406 Coupe with the new 407 Coupe and it certainly stands out. The sleek looks echo the 407 saloon but while it’s unusual it isn’t exactly handsome and looks bulky, not helped by the awkwardly long front overhang and gaping grille. It is actually larger than the saloon which means good interior space and this coupe will genuinely seat four adults.

It’s also well equipped and makes a fine companion on a long distance trip where it puts in an impressive performance as a grand tourer. Unfortunately it’s not exciting or involving to drive on twisting roads and the automatic gearbox on the more powerful models is a let down too.
