Summary

Next steps

Hugely spacious interior, smart looks, good value, capable of seating nine, economical engines

Van-like appearance, dual front passenger seat option a bit of a squeeze, HDi 90 engine can feel like hard work

Large people carriers have often been mocked in the past for being little more than vans with windows. While this might be a little unfair to sophisticated vehicles like the Renault Espace and Ford Galaxy, it's an efficient way of moving large number of people. Peugeot's Expert Tepee is actually based on a van - the Expert. While this means a boxy shape, it also results in good versatility thanks to a flat floor, a choice of lengths and seats for up to nine. Few sacrifices have to be made on board either, as the Tepee comes with most of the kit you would expect on a people carrier. Developed jointly with sister company Citroen and Fiat, the Citroen Dispatch Combi and Fiat Scudo Panorama are near identical vehicles.
