The Clio Sport Tourer takes the strengths of the hatchback model - namely refinement and interior quality - and adds the extra versatility of a large boot space. Unlike some small estates, it doesn't look too tall or bulky, but it's not as handsome as the standard Clio. That said, it's as easy to drive and despite the extra length at the back, is as straightforward to park in small spaces. There are few small estates this size - the Skoda Fabia estate and Peugeot 207 SW are the most obvious alternatives. Buyers looking for a more versatile small car, which doesn’t sacrifice verve for versatility, should give the Clio Sport Tourer some serious consideration.
