Renault Espace (97-03) - Review

Review by Parkers on
This Espace is the third generation of the car that started the European people-carrier phenomenon back in the mid-1980s. Always a leader, it stays ahead of the current pack, with clever use of space, slick styling, improved ride, and better driveability, plus the safest body in its class. But the current generation has built a following among middle-class families with its chic looks and aerodynamic profile. It's not a cheap used buy, but it's worth every penny.

Running costs

Engines are more economical than before. Slow depreciation, long service intervals, especially on post-2000 models. Insurance groups look high, but they're average for this class.
