Renault Kangoo (99-08) - Review Review by Parkers on 21 June 2006 Last Updated: 02 June 2009 Simple, functional and spacious - the Renault Kangoo appeals to family buyers who are looking for straightforward practicality above anything else. Admittedly, the obvious van-like looks won't endear the Kangoo to everyone, but buyers looking for a value-for-money holdall will be smitten. It's perfect if you're self-employed too, taking on a huge load capacity at the fold of a seat and converting back just as easily to revert to a spacious family car. All models get driver and front passenger airbags, ABS, power steering, see me home lights, 60/40 split folding rear seats, height adjustable headrests, three point rear seatbelts, rear parcel shelf and rubber floor covering for the boot as standard. Venture and Expression models add a rear tailgate, a CD stereo with fingertip remote control and front fog lights. Expression models also get overhead aircraft-style compartments, 14-inch alloy wheels and an exterior temperature gauge. Options include front lateral airbags, a baggage net, electric panoramic sunroof, metallic paint, rear roof flap with tinted windows and roof bars. Option packs include the Electric Pack, with electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, external temperature sensor, and a trip computer; Family Pack come with a drawer under driver's seat, rear aviation tables, child minder mirror, and front central armrest; Cool Pack come with air conditioning, an electric panoramic sunroof and fixed glass sunroof; and the Outdoor Pack adds extra tinted glass in rear windows and tailgate, a heat-reflective windscreen, and roof bars.
