Laguna offers stylish family transport, though some traditional Renault faults remain. Build quality could be better, and the engines could be more refined on pre-1998 cars (the latest 16-valve units are much better). Even so, it's certainly worth a look as a cheaper but acceptably well equipped alternative to Mondeo or Vectra.
