Renault does a good job of advertising their cars with French flair, and Laguna II aims to bring executive style and substance to the fleet and family sector. It’s big and roomy, while the attractively sculpted body looks and feels more solid than the old Laguna, plus it was the first car to be awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Buying used

There are many used examples available in the Renault used approved network, and all Lagunas are tested and restored before sale and come with an extensive after sales package. Laguna is popular in the fleet sector, and its residuals reflect this. Being generously-equipped across the board makes most used examples a good buy.

Selling

120bhp diesel powered Lagunas with tasteful, well-maintained interiors will sell better, so look after the trim as it will soon show wear. It should be an easier sale than more common Mondeo or Vectra, particularly with widely recognised strong safety credentials.
