Renault Wind (10-12) - Review Review by Parkers on 05 July 2010 Last Updated: 19 November 2010 For the second time Renault has had a crack at building a roadster with its rather airy-fairily-titled Wind. The last attempt was back in 1996 with the Sports Spider but that was a bit of a disaster: it was deemed too complex, expensive and hardcore - early versions lacked both roof and windscreen - and so Renault ceased production after only a year and a half. This time around things are a lot simpler. The Wind is based on the Twingo and it should have a much broader appeal. First off, the sporty Renault has a windscreen and even a clever ‘targa’-style roof that folds away in just 12 seconds. It's also been developed by Renaultsport, Renault’s performance division responsible for the sensational Twingo and Clio hot hatches, and it's powered by engines from the Twingo range: a 99bhp 1.2-litre turbo and a more powerful 131bhp 1.6-litre. Diesel will not be offered. 4 out of 5 Other Renault reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Summary Tweet New price range: £12,995 - £17,700 Used price range: £7,863 - £11,672 View all used prices Get a Renault Wind (10-12) information pack Next steps Renault Wind cars for sale Use our cars for sale search facility to find great deals on second hand cars.
