Rolls-Royce Phantom Saloon (03 on) - Review

Rolls-Royce may be owned by BMW, but the Phantom is both individual and feels every inch the pinnacle of British-built luxury. Its appearance is certainly imposing - indeed it's too heavy-handed for some - but it travels with an unmatched elegance and style. It's a 'motor car' in the great Rolls-Royce tradition with a long list of options with which to personalise the vehicle, it has a surprising turn of speed and can be controlled with a level of precision that belies its size. If you want the best car in the world - and can afford it - we couldn't argue against choosing a Phantom.

Buying new

If you're buying new, it's unlikely you'll be buying a standard car. There is a long list of items that can be added to the Phantom to personalise it and you can expect unrivalled customer service from the dealership. It's almost unbelievably expensive to buy, but you'll be treated like royalty by the showroom staff.

Buying used

The steepest depreciation is in the first couple of years. After that they seem almost cost effective, particularly if it will be used as a chauffeur car. However, it's all relative and the Phantom will rarely be classed as a bargain.

Selling

There are very few on the market so it shouldn't be difficult to sell any Phantom.
