SEAT Alhambra (96-00) - Review

Review by Parkers on
The only difference between the Ford Galaxy, VW Sharan and the Alhambra are prices, equipment, some engines and price. Oh yes and the front grille. If you are not too bothered about names then the Alhambra is a great way to save money. All the space, performance and versatility of the more expensive MPVs, but for less. Buyers can’t lose.

Comfort

The Alhambra is a versatile seven-seater which is very roomy - just like the Ford and VW versions in fact. The only differences are in the trim colours and equipment levels. The Alhambra though does the same job more cost effectively, which should make owners feel even more comfortable. Air conditioning is standard on all models - quite rare for a car of this age.

Practicality

The seats fold, tumble and can be removed for almost van-like practicality. The seats can be fitted in a number of versatile. There's loads of space for seven, but luggage space is restricted. When used as a five-seater, it's roomy for all and there's plenty of room for bags.

Behind the wheel

There is an excellent car-like driving position thanks to the height adjustable seat and a multi adjustable steering wheel.
