SEAT Cordoba (03-06) - Review Review by Parkers on 20 September 2006 The SEAT Cordoba is essentially an Ibiza with a large boot. It never really caught on it the UK as there’s not really a market for small saloons and there’s not much of an engine choice. However, the one petrol and two diesels are frugal, insurance is low and it’s unlikely to let you down, so if you’re willing to look past the dowdy image and limited versatility, you could pick up a great bargain. 3 out of 5 Other SEAT reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Safety It hasn’t been crash tested by Euro NCAP, but the closely-related Ibiza has. It scored well, with four stars out of five and Cordoba would be expected to fare just as well. Security needn’t be a worry, as SEAT kitted it out with safety features and all models get an immobiliser, remote central locking and deadlocks. Add to that ABS, an anti-theft roof aerial, front airbags and three-point seatbelts, and the list of safety spec is fairly impressive. Interior plastics seem a little flimsy and tend to mark quite easily, so the cabin may not withstand the test of time. Check for interior family wear-and-tear before buying.
