Not since the days of the Arosa has SEAT been involved in the competitive city car market, but it should be a big name again in the sector with the Mii. The little hatch is a class act and is likely to cost less than the Skoda Citigo and the VW up! - the two cars that it shares a platform with.

SEAT Mii (12 on)

Classy interior, well-built, low running costs, priced well

Bland design, steering too light at high speeds, not as engaging as rivals

Not since the days of the Arosa has SEAT been involved in the competitive city car market, but it should be a big name again in the sector with the Mii. The little hatch is a class act and is likely to cost less than the Skoda Citigo and the VW up! - the two cars that it shares a platform with. The engineers at SEAT are keen to tell everyone that this is Spanish design with German engineering. The marketing folk have gone even further and called it ‘enjoyneering’ – a cliché too far perhaps, but don’t be surprised to see it splashed all over advertising hoardings. There’s no need for puns though, as the Mii is an excellent small car. It offers good levels of refinement, is perfect for driving in tight town situations and has a high quality interior. Could it outdo the more prestigious up!? Read on to find out…
