The Fabia Estate is a great choice for young families. It’s roomy, good to drive and cheap to run. The estate model offers additional practical benefits to the hatchback - namely a bigger, versatile boot - and it meets the needs of families with smaller children with a well thought-out design. The bigger load space results in a longer body, so it isn’t as ideally suited to city life as the hatchback. But buyers in need of a roomy family car with a reasonable price tag should give this estate serious consideration. A Greenline model is available which, thanks to low emissions, is cheap to tax and returns impressive economy. There's also a Scout version which has a more rugged look along with chunky bumpers and side protection.

The Fabia Estate line-up is simple with 1,2 and 3 the main trim levels along with the Greenline low emissions model and the Scout. The 1 has central locking, electric front windows, steel wheels, height and reach adjustable steering, an immobiliser plus a CD stereo. The 2 adds alloy wheels, air conditioning, an alarm, electrically heated and adjustable mirrors, remote central locking and a trip computer. The 3 gets 16-inch alloys, rear parking sensors, Climatronic air conditioning, cruise control, curtain airbags, front fog lights and a leather steering wheel, gear lever and gaiter. The Greenline has 14-inch alloys, remote central locking, electric front windows, air conditioning and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors. The Scout model is based on the 2 and also gets cruise control, ESP stability control, front and rear electric windows, alloy pedals, a front armrest and a leather steering wheel.
