Skoda Fabia Saloon (01-05) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 2001 Brits don't really like small saloons, so the booted Fabia isn't a common sight on our roads. Good new for the used buyer, as values are generally lower than the value-packed hatchback. Well equipped with a smooth ride and cheaper and than Volkswagen's own Polo. Some early models have minor quality issues, but overall it's well built and good value. 3.5 out of 5 Other Skoda reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Running costs Engines are economical, depreciation is acceptable (even on the saloon) and insurance is reasonable. Service intervals are good, too - this is a financially sensible purchase. * based on most recent data Estimated fuel cost for 10,000 miles per year Unleaded £1,461 - £1,659 * Diesel £1,125 - £1,125 * The estimated fuel cost figure is a guide to how much this model will cost to fuel each year, so you can compare between cars. Emissions summary Fabia performs very well on the eco front. With an average of 158 g/km CO2 across the range, its emissions are relatively low for a super mini saloon. However, it's worth noting that the line up has a high number of diesel models, bringing the average down and giving buyers more choices of low-emission versions. Diesels typically produce less CO2 than petrol engines with similar power outputs. Eco-conscious buyers should consider the 1.9-litre diesel, which is one of the greenest models in the range. The range is impressively frugal, averaging 45 mpg. Find the exact engine and CO2 Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
