Skoda Octavia vRS (01-05) - Review

Review by Simon Harris on
The Octavia vRS put Skoda on the hot-hatchback map in 2001 with an estate model following in 2003. Sharing components with the Mk IV Volkswagen Golf, using Volkswagen Group's 180bhp 1.8 turbo engine as well as the know-how of Skoda's skilled chassis engineers the Octavia vRS turned out to be a high performance bargain and a thoroughly enjoyable drive.

Buying used

A bargain when new - the last of the hatchbacks were selling for well under £14,000 - so a well-maintained used model should be an even bigger bargain.

Selling

Those in the know will be looking out for these on the used market. A clean and regularly serviced car should sell easily, particularly the estate.
