Smart Roadster Coupé (03-07) - Review

The Roadster Coupe wasn't especially cheap when it was new and only came with average levels of standard equipment. All models have 12-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, driver and passenger airbags, electric windows, a six-speed sequential automatic gearbox, electrically assisted power steering, a CD stereo, a centre armrest, air conditioning, a leather steering wheel and gear lever plus a two-piece removable hard-top. An electrically operated sliding soft top was available as an option. The Sports Pack option has a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel and Spikeline alloy wheels while the Safety Pack includes front fog lights, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and side airbags. Other options include leather sports seats with seat heating, a CD change while the comfort package consists of cruise control, electric power steering and a trip computer. The Finale Edition comes with 17-inch alloys, metallic paint, air conditioning, clock and rev counter, engine start button plus colour-coded front and rear bumpers.
