The seven-seater Rodius is the biggest people carrier on the market and proves that big doesn’t always mean beautiful. Its distinctive looks split opinion – some buyers think it’s interesting and different while others see it as simply ugly. Whatever your thoughts, one thing is obvious, it’s huge. It’s bigger than the largest people carriers from Renault (Grand Espace) and Chrysler (Grand Voyager) and it dwarfs most normal MPVs.

Standard equipment is good, it’s comfortable enough, and new prices start at under £15,000. But the quality and finish of the interior leaves a lot to be desired and the handling is cumbersome. From April 2009, SsangYong introduced a five year/250,000 mile warranty on all its models, giving the Rodius some much needed appeal.
