Toyota Avensis Verso (01-05) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Toyota seems to have a people carrier for every need, from the small-but-roomy Yaris Verso, through to the tribe-carrying eight-seater Previa. This is the larger of their medium-sized MPVs (Corolla Verso is the smaller), capable of carrying seven. Reliability is outstanding, there's a fine diesel option and all models are well equipped.
4 out of 5

Comfort

Good head and leg room for the first five passengers, but the rear two seats are cramped and really only suitable for kids; loads of luggage space; plenty of creature comforts including air conditioning for rear passengers; interior design and materials are functional rather than appealing.

Practicality

Seats five in comfort, but squeezing in seven can be trickier and leaves little room for luggage. Restricted legroom for sixth and seventh passengers, these seats are only really for children.

Behind the wheel

All instruments are well grouped and are clear and simple to use. Steering-wheel-mounted controls make the job even easier. Adjustable steering wheel and supportive seats.
