Toyota Yaris Verso (00-05) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Yaris Verso delivers functionality and value for money in equal measures. Unfortunately, it looks like the hatchback of Notre Dame. Shame, because it's good to drive, surprisingly economical to run and should prove utterly dependable. As a tall mini-MPV it packs as much flexible load space as possible into a small car. The down side is an appearance that turns anyone who looks at it to stone.

Performance

Limited engine choice but both units are adequately quick and highly economical - 1.4 D-4D is the marginally more frugal but it's not quite as fast as the petrol.

Handling

Precise, light steering, ride quality suffers on rough surfaces but generally pleasant to drive. That tall body likes to roll about in the corners.
